Everyone has heard of injectables. But although injectables help with wrinkles and loss of volume, they do nothing for pigment spots, veins or scars. How do you tackle them?
Below our skin therapists give 4 tips to get the skin in top condition:
1. Take advantage of the winter
Claire: “Few people know what the possibilities are with IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser. And yet the results are promising! Pigment spots and blood vessels fade and the production of collagen is stimulated. This drastically rejuvenates and evens out the skin. Blue blood vessels around the eyes can also be treated well. Please note: the skin should not be tanned, which makes winter the ideal period.”

2. Lubricate, lubricate, lubricate!
Naomi: “Treatment or not, applying sunscreen remains crucial, even in winter. Although the chance of burning is lower, the skin can still be damaged by the sun. UV radiation also penetrates the clouds!”
3. Scar? Start treating in time
Claire: “Not everyone is aware that scars can be treated well with IPL and a range of lasers. Think of scars after an eyelid correction, facelift, breast surgery or severe acne. For surgical scars, our advice is to start two weeks after removing the stitches. As with pigment treatments, the skin should not be tanned.”

4. Boost your skin with vitamin C
Naomi: “Without vitamin C, the skin cannot produce collagen. In addition to food with vitamin C – such as cabbage and citrus fruits – a day cream or serum with vitamin C is always a good idea. Make sure that it contains at least 3% vitamin C. We can of course advise you on this.”
