PRP
During a PRP treatment, a high concentration of growth factors from the patient's own blood is used to improve the quality of the skin or hair.
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma is blood plasma that contains many platelets and growth factors. This plasma plays an important role in the recovery and rejuvenation of the skin and hair. Growth factors from your own blood have been used for years in orthopedic and dental procedures to promote healing. This technique is now available to improve the quality of the skin and hair. In cosmetics, this treatment is also known as the 'vampire lift'.
Intake
The first step is always a consultation with one of our laser specialists. During this consultation, our method, your wishes and the realistic possibilities of the treatment are discussed.
Customized treatment
During the consultation, the laser specialist inspects your skin and, if it concerns hair growth, your hair. Because every skin and every form of hair growth is different, we draw up a personalized treatment plan for each client.
A consultation with one of our laser specialists costs € 35,-. These costs will be deducted from the costs of the first treatment, provided that this treatment takes place within 6 months after the consultation date. On request, we can in most cases schedule a consultation with a treatment immediately afterwards.
Method
First, a small amount of blood is taken. This blood is processed in a specially developed system to isolate the PRP in a safe and clinical manner. During this process, the blood plasma including the platelets (the PRP) is separated from the rest of the blood. Depending on whether the hair or only the skin needs to be treated, there are various options to administer the body's own PRP.
PRP & Hair Loss
PRP is particularly suitable for improving the quality of thin hair. The growth factors in PRP strengthen and thicken existing hair. PRP also ensures better blood circulation, which prevents hair loss.
PRP & Skin Rejuvenation
PRP can be applied in combination with a skin rejuvenating fractional therapy treatment. During a fractional therapy treatment, extremely tiny holes are punctured in the skin in a controlled manner, forcing the skin to regenerate and rejuvenate. The fractional therapy treatment stimulates the production of collagen, which strengthens the skin, fades irregularities and refreshes the skin's tone and complexion. By administering PRP with growth factors during this treatment, the healing process is significantly faster and the production of collagen is further stimulated.
Results
The treatment of the skin and hair with PRP has an optimal result when it is repeated several times. In the first year, an average of 3 to 4 treatments are desired. After that, a maintenance treatment of 1 time per year is sufficient.
